This was a memorable match in many ways, and it's not because we lost 8-0 to Imperial.
First of all it was nice to have Raya back from electives to play for us in singles again. Considering she had been away for so long she played really well, so well done!
Secondly, my other wonderful singles player, Ash. What can I say? She was ill, poor girl! And she still dragged herself all the way to Charing X hospital to fight this battle for us. Thanks for coming and showing RUMS spirit, keep going!
Alisha and Cissy are a great pair, did very well and some close matches. A very giggly pair I must say, but high spirits!
Last but not least, it was nice to play with Jen. We took a bit of time to get used to each other, but we had a few close matches too!!! We gave it our all, so what else can I ask for? We ALL know that Jen gave the match her 200% with her "smashing" shot on the court, which we will never forget *wink wink*.
Even though we lost, the opposing team was still very friendly. The captain and I got on quite well and are hoping to have some friendly matches sometime in the near future, so we'll get a second chance to prove ourselves even if it doesn't count towards the league!
