RUMS Badminton’s Mixed team travelled to Tooting yesterday, for a rather nice match against St. Georges Medical School.
In short, we lost… (6-3 in games) but that’s not to say we didn’t win in other respects – Clara conquered her fear of competitive matches, we learned that Bloomsbury is a much nicer place to be than Tooting, and we generally had a good match.
Sam and Lena, being such an energetic pair, fought tooth and nail to give us 2 of our games, while Clara and I proudly chalked up 1 for the team. St George’s players were very friendly, and their all-Chinese team got on well with our team (also happening to be Chinese).
All in all it was a good match, and we were satisfied with our performances.
Well played Clara, Sam, Lena, Kee, Kathleen and of course, ME!!!
We may have lost, but our walkover against Imperial Wye puts us TOP OF THE ULU MIXED LEAGUE with 12 games!
