Players: Kara & Nick, Lena & Sam, Anna & Jeffrey
Well we got off to a great start, with Kara and myself winning our first two rubbers in marathon style - both going to 3 games. Sam and Lena won their first 2 rubbers aswell in excellent style. Anna and Jeffrey couldnt quite clinch it against this strong Barts team, who are at the top of the league table, though with technique, footwork and tactics training coming up next term, we'll all be a better team for future matches.
Overall a strong performance from us - If we'd only been able to maintain concentration for the last couple of games we'd have got them, but we were slightly worn out...
Anyway, we're playing them next week on wednesday for the league match, and i hope then i'll be able to bring you better news.... such as a 9-0 thrashing of Barts. We'll show them just what the name "RUMS Badminton" really means.
