St Georges is located in a somewhat dodgy part of London (aka Tooting), and with the Victoria line broken in the weekend, we were a little late for our match. Rich was unable to make it and with Jeff slowly re-finding his form he had a lot of expectations on his shoulders.
St Georges are a friendly team, and this made things much easier when we found out that Jeff and Ting both already knew people there. With high hopes we started playing. Nick and Kara performed exceptionally well by winning 2 games, and despite this they think they can still raise their game. Jeff and Ting also did very well for a new pairing, winning a match in the process. Kee and Kathleen, the auxiliary players of the team provided the energy drinks and brownies to keep the team going.
Overall, it was a pleasing performance, and although we were not out-classed in terms of individual ability, we were unfortunately outclassed in tactical play.
