Jing & Alex, the Freshers
In our first heroic victory of the season we were up against a dilapidated, but somewhat bitter 5 students from the University of Arts. One of their doubles players never turned up and their other pair proved no match for the the veteran doubles players.
Having lumbered the freshers with the singles games, Alex managed to take the one match we needed against their rather irate captain who could be heard shouting profanities from the other end of the hall. He later attempted to try and get us to accept him and his other singles player as another doubles pair but we were content to take the two forfeited games and VICTORY. 5 – 3. Woohoo!
Like I said last week… I could smell the victory… and right now, I can hear the Royal Free bar calling me…
