So, we warmed up, and then warmed up some more, and then we won... partly due to the lack of attendance by any opposition. Nonplussed, we played a match anyway... against UCL 1sts... "Hold on!", I hear you all cry, we couldn't even beat UCL 2nds. Indeed! This week, RUMS Men's Badminton preyed on

They were scared when we challenged them and they almost didn't accept. But they did... and it turns out that it was eventually quite close, to the point where I only just did the math and worked out we won... I think (the uncertainty arises from the fact that two of the games weren't played as best of 3s, but we did win them so I'm going to claim them, quite justly, I think).
It has to be said that Nick carried me through (not literally) 2 very tight score lines (24-22 and 22-20) which ended in our favour. From what I gathered, from the others a couple of the other games were tight too but unfortunately, didn't go our way (incidentally, these were against our fellow RUMSite, Kiki and her partner but we won't hold it against her that she joined the dark side). This all lead to the 5-4 scoreline going to us!!! Yay! RUMS Badminton, la la la!
Pats on everybody's back (Nick, Hamster, Fresher Chris, Marvin, Sam and myself) for allowing us to say that we beat UCL!
